Sabal palmetto Mocksville United States Hybrid was originally discovered by DrThanks to hardy palm grower Larry Green for sharing seed from the Sabal palmetto growing at his former family home in Mocksville, NC (1 hour southwest of Winston Salem). Larry tells us this Sabal palmetto was planted around 1980, and survived the mega death winter of 1984 85 in NC.
